Breaking News

The EcoCampus Team would like to offer a warm welcome to Richard Meddings, who has joined EcoCampus as a Project Manager. He will be working alongside Sara Macey, who has recently returned from maternity leave.

An introduction to Richard Meddings:

"Greetings, having recently joined the EcoCampus scheme as a project manager at the end of 2009; I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to those involved with the scheme.

My background prior to EcoCampus involved working with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) at a local authority and as a consultant/trainer working in the manufacturing sector. I also previously worked with an environmental institute (IEMA) which involved coordinating their BS 8555/Acorn Scheme programme which provides a phased approach to EMS.

The phased approach of EcoCampus is therefore relatively familiar; however the higher education sector is a completely new area for me (although I have not strayed too far from academia having recently finished a distance learning MSc in Integrated Environmental Management last year).

I’m looking forward to working with the Cohorts on their EMS implementation process and to helping them manage and improve their environmental performance through use of the scheme."

We would like to offer our sincere congratulations to the following members of the Scheme, who have recently achieved awards.
