Document Control

Document control requires developing a procedure to authorise and regularly review important documents, to ensure that these are distributed to the right people, and that obsolete documents are removed from circulation. The EcoCampus document control application provides a sophisticated tool for meeting these requirements allowing users to store documents including forms and records in a logical and efficient way.

Track changes

Access is provided for EMS managers who can "check-in/check-out" documentation (e.g. EMS Manual, Environmental Policy, EMS Procedures). Any amendments made to the documentation are automatically saved, version controlled and old documents archived. Restricted access to the system is provided for staff users where documents can be viewed and downloaded.

Pre-defined folders

It even takes the guesswork - and the hard work - out of the environmental management system (EMS) process. Document Control comes with a template featuring folders named and grouped according to the requirements of EcoCampus. This makes it easy for you to store and locate your documents. Internal and external auditors will find it particularly helpful.

Document templates

Many of the folders contain EMS procedures that you can use or refine to meet your organisation's needs. It also comes with a comprehensive EMS manual, which will help you to run your EMS saving you time researching and writing these documents. It contains a number of templates for you to use to conduct an audit, make the changes needed and report your findings.
